In this residential building, the facade of expanded metal on the west side is designed to correlate with the position of the sun. At noon, the sunlight refracts on the wide mesh and diffuses into the area beneath. Wind is able to circulate the building, permeating coolness even during warmer weather. In this project, we developed a constructive system that assists the installation of the facade and matches the ends of each panel in a continuous pattern. The metal was coated to be resistant to corrosion under any type of weather and was painted to match the color of the building.
